Lulu is a 1960 split screen, painted in powder blue over ivory. She was imported from Utah and restored locally in Dorset. Lulu originally belonged to a custom made furniture business in Poole, where she modelled her owner’s fabulous VW interiors at many of the country’s largest VW shows until she came to us five years ago.Lulu’s beautiful oak and ivory interior was designed especially for weddings. She seats up to six passengers and is a popular choice for brides, grooms and bridesmaids. Her facing seats offer the optimum space for the bride and bridesmaid’s gowns, so no creased dresses! They also enable the bride or groom’s party to chat to each other with ease during the journey, often over a glass of chilled champagne, or a cold beer!Due to her good looks Lulu has won trophies at a number of classic VW shows and she is one of the earliest split screen buses available to hire for weddings in the area.
Lottie is a 1970 early bay window tin top VW camper van. She was imported from California and she too has been restored in Dorset to an extremely high standard. She joined the Dorset Dubhire family in January 2012.Lottie’s VW lotus white (slightly off white/ivory) paint work fits perfectly with any wedding colour scheme and her bespoke oak interior and claret upholstery give her a real feeling of classic style.Both Lulu and Lottie’s interior work has been undertaken by cabinet makers and upholsterers who work in the luxury marine industry.
