A quick word first
Why are there rules?
We know everyone comes to Field of Dreams to relax and have a brilliant weekend — that is exactly what we want too. The rules allow us to keep everyone safe, protect Escrick Park Estate and meet the conditions of our event licence, so that we can continue holding the show here.
Please read before arrival
2026 site rules
- No open flames of any kind. This includes fires, firepits, charcoal BBQs, disposable BBQs, gas BBQs, camping stoves, candles and any other naked flame.
- The site contains dry grass and a large number of petrol-filled vehicles. The fire risk is simply too high.
- No glass may be brought onto the site. Please transfer drinks into cans, plastic containers or reusable cups.
- No large gas canisters over 2.7 kg are permitted.
- No sky lanterns.
- Do not camp or park in marked fire lanes. Vehicles or tents blocking them will be moved.
- No smoking or vaping inside marquees or other enclosed tented areas.
- Please dispose of cigarette ends safely and never leave them on the ground.
- Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times and cleaned up after, including in longer grass.
- The speed limit throughout the site is 5 mph. Please drive carefully and never drink and drive, even within the site.
- No illegal drugs are permitted.
- Antisocial or dangerous behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the site without refund.
- Please use the bins and skips provided and take as much rubbish home as possible.
- Please respect the 11:30pm noise curfew and other campers around you.
- Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. If the event is rescheduled, tickets will transfer to the new date.

Show FAQs
Click a question to open the answer.
Are watercooled vehicles welcome?
Yes. Everyone is welcome at Field of Dreams, whatever they arrive in. Aircooled camping and the principal vehicle displays are reserved for aircooled vehicles, while general camping welcomes aircooled, watercooled and non-VW vehicles.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome, but they must remain on a lead at all times because of wildlife, livestock and other dogs. Please clean up after them everywhere on site, including longer grassy areas.
Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
Advance booking is strongly recommended. It helps us plan facilities and staffing, usually costs less than paying on the gate and allows advance-ticket holders to arrive from 2:00pm on Friday.
When can I arrive on Friday?
Weekend ticket holders who have booked in advance may arrive from 2:00pm on Friday 4 September 2026. On-the-gate ticket sales begin from 6:00pm, helping us stagger traffic through the local area. Friday entry closes at 9:00pm.
Confirmed traders may arrive from 11:00am.
Where is the show?
Field of Dreams is held at Escrick Park Estate, York, YO19 6EA. Approach via the A19 towards Escrick and follow the event signs as you get closer.
When will my tickets arrive?
Your tickets are emailed after payment is completed. Please check your Junk or Spam folder. Bring the tickets on your phone ready to be scanned, or print them before travelling.
Can I get a refund if I cannot attend?
Tickets are non-refundable where the event goes ahead as planned. You may sell or transfer your tickets to somebody else for no more than the price you paid.
If the event is cancelled or rescheduled, tickets will transfer to the replacement date.
Will there be first aid and security?
Yes. Professional first aid and security teams are on site throughout the event, including overnight. Please speak to show staff immediately if you need assistance.
Are fires, BBQs or camping stoves allowed?
No. There are no open flames of any kind permitted in 2026.
This includes fires, firepits, charcoal and disposable BBQs, gas BBQs, camping stoves, candles and any other naked flame. Dry grass, hot weather and a field full of petrol-filled vehicles are a dangerous combination.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
Yes, but no glass is allowed anywhere on site. Please bring cans or transfer drinks into plastic or reusable containers. An onsite bar will also be open during the weekend.
Can we play music at our camp?
Music is fine at a respectful level during the day and evening. Please remember this is a relaxed, family-friendly camping weekend and observe the 11:30pm noise curfew.
How do I enter the Show & Shine?
Show & Shine takes place on Sunday and is open to aircooled Volkswagens. There is no need to pre-book. Bring your vehicle to the show arena before the stated closing time for entries and the team will direct you.
Where should a mixed group of vehicles camp?
Choose general camping. It is designed for groups containing a mixture of aircooled, watercooled, non-VW and everyday vehicles, allowing friends and clubs to camp together.
Can I visit for just one day?
Yes. Day tickets are available for Saturday and Sunday. Select the day ticket you need on the tickets page.
Can I sell a few VW parts at the show?
Yes. The free autojumble area is for people bringing a modest amount of unwanted aircooled VW parts. Businesses or anyone selling a larger quantity of goods must apply for an approved trade pitch.
