Freeway Flyer Gearbox Rebuild / Upgrade, 65.7MPH @ 3,500RPM (002,091), T2 Bay 1967-79

Pricing is based on Exchange and £100/£200 refund on receipt of your gearbox - dependent on your gearbox code, it must be in good, reconditionable condition and will be inspected to ensure this is the case.

This upgrade is not the usual swap out for a longer 4th gear, instead the gearbox ring and pinion are converted to move all the gears by a percentage therefore gear spacing remains even and will not over-strain the drivetrain.

Based on original tyre dimension of 185/80R14, standard gearbox ratios will achieve the following figures:

52.7MPH@3,000RPM
61.5MPH@3,500RPM
70.3MPH@4,000RPM
79.1MPH@4,500RPM

This conversion will convert any 3,5 or 6 Rib 1967-79 Gearbox, stretches all gears by a percentage which means no huge gap between 3rd and 4th, lower RPM gives better MPG, higher top speed. All gearboxes carry a warranty subject to terms and conditions of 40,000miles or 12 months whichever is first.

Warranty does not cover incidental costs such as installation or removal, warranty and guarantee covers the gearbox only, shipping again is not covered under the warranty on this gearbox, if no fault is located as part of a warranty claim you may be subject to additional fees.

Please note: The shipping is not included in the above price. Due to the size/weight of this item, we prefer collection from our shop in York, for shipping this must be shipped on a pallet and we can provide you with details to arrange your own courier.
